How to Care for your Candle

Trim the candle wick after each burn. This can ensure a steady flame and prevent sooting and excessive mushrooming of the wick.

Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings and any kind of debris.

Be sure to store your candle in a cool, dark and dry place

Always burn your candle within sight - away from the reach of pets and children. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Extinguish your candle when 1/4 inch of wax remains. Do not burn longer than 4 hours at a time.

A Note about the way our candles burn

Our concrete candles burn in a unique way. After the first 2-3 hour burn, you will have melt pool that has not reached the edge of the vessel. This is intentional. The candle itself is wicked to ensure that the outer concrete vessel does not overheat. It is only at the end of the burn, when the candle reaches its hottest temperature, that you will notice the wax left on the sides of the vessel will begin to melt. Once your candle has had its final burn, remove the wick and give new life to your vessel by enjoying it as a planter or other container.
